do the paddles have to match up on both sides ?

yes. that would handle poorly if one tire was grabbing a lot more than the other.

well when i line the hubs up and put the wheels on, one tire is a little off from the other one.

ohhh i completely misinterpreted the question. i thought you meant like a different paddle count on each side. im sure that optimally you would want them to be as close as possible, but i don't think you'll notice at all if they're not. just adjust the hubs by switching splines if you want them to match.

It looks better to have them matched up but my haulers some how one slipped on the rim or something and the only time you can really feel a problem is pushing the bike on hard ground, riding you cant tell.

thats what i was wandering. we went to the dunes on july 4th and i put the paddles on and they matched up. now were going to make a trip at the end of this month and they dont match up.
They must of rotated on the wheel a little.
