2008-2009 plastic

I'm building a 400ex to race only. Does anyone know if the 2008-2009 400ex/400x plastic fit on a 2002 frame. This quad will have a 440 big bore (11.1) kit stage 2 cam, 450r front shocks, other things done to it.





2002 400ex modded (ex racer)
2003 400ex stock
2002 440ex winter build ( new racer)
1986 LT-250R stock

with some mods to the mounting brackets it should fit as far as i have read. steve

Everywhere I have read they will fit as well. Just have to mod/make mounting brakets and it will fit.

Heck I could mount the plastics on my Z71 if I made mounting brackets.

So I guess the answer would be yes but is it worth the effort.

Only brackets you would have to fab would be the nose piece. The others would most likely be just move or relocate.

As far as worth it that would be up to you. If you like the new looks better than the old then it would be worth it and would allow you to choose dif color schemes. If ya dont like the look then it prob wouldnt be worth the time lol.

But I can say for the price of OEM plastics it would be cheaper to buy aftermarket ones that look just as cool if not cooler. Or to do a hood scoop on yours and make it look even cooler.

I like the older style plastics with the front fenders shaved and the 450R hood scoop.


I love the new ones if your gonna keep it stock.
