Hello all, I am getting ready to send of my 86 250R frame, swing arm, a-arms, steering stem, etc. to get powder coated. Just about every part that could get powder coated is. I was hoping I could get some input on places where I should mask off.

Also, is it important to put bolts in the threads on parts to keep paint from getting in there?

Thank you for any help,

-Melton

Your powdercoater should plug all the bolt holes but be prepared to re-tap a lot of them to get the powder out.

Any place where a bearing goes - you will not want powder to get in there.

Yep.... I agree. On my restorations I always sent a tap through every hole after powder. It makes the job that much better.
