View Full Version : Stock Axle Carrier

well, i'm in need of a new carrier / or bearings in the stocker. have any of ya'll replaced the stocker bearings? i've always just got a new one. but i'm thinking about putting new bearings in it and drilling a hole for a grease fitting.

what do you guys think

People has always told me that the RAD carrier was good. It even has a zerk on the outside also. I had Lonestar on my 400. It was fine but no easy access grease fitting like the RAD.

Replace your old bearings, and add your own zerk. :macho That's the way my I did my stock carrier.

Rad is nice!! if you decide after market and yours only needs bearings. . . let me know,I need a used one for a project :D

RAD is a great carrier but my sprocket keeps me from getting the grease gun on the zerk so I still have to move the axle over to get to it. Houser has one with the zerk in a better location but their bearings didn't seem to last as long. Probaly cheaper to replace the factory bearings though.
