After riding my quad for a little while I am constantly having to stop and tighten my chain again. What is the reason for this and what can I do to stop this from happening. Thanks

are your pinch bolts stripped?

A bad rear bearing carrier can cause that. Lift up the rear end and shake it back and forth, side to side, etc. If there's any play the bearings are shot.

The bolts aren't stripped, I will check the bearings and see if there is any play. Thanks

Is it a stock chain? It may just be overly stretched out and need to be replaced. As the chain wears it losses its strength and will stretch alot quicker.
If the chain is more than a couple years old maybe think about a new one. Be sure to check your sprockets for wear as well.

Take out those piece of ***** allen key bolts and put hex head bolts in they tighten better and you can put lock washer on them.Thats what i did to mine dirt alwayed clogged the allen key hole and stripped them.

I agree with the carrier idea as well. When mine decided to let go, it came outta nowhere it seemed like. I checked out the bike before i left for a riding weekend and by late saturday afternoon my chain was loose as hell. Thats when I noticed that the bearings in my stock carrier were apparently not too happy.
