only people that are very good at fabricating should attempt the conversion.
and 90% never run that great because they end up using a 250r pipe and just mod it to fit the exhaust flange.
Nobody builds a inframe pipe for the chassis so you will have to take the whole bike to someone to hand build you a pipe or a drag pipe will need to be ran.
Other alternative is to mod the frame to work with the factory style cr500 pipe.
They do vibrate allot so dune riding/dragging is really the only thing you can do with them.
soild mounting the motor is the best way with a balanced crank from crankwerks, etc.........
Kick starter is hard to overcome because of the frame.
extend the kicker shaft or find a old steel kicker from a xl600 4 stroke and heat and bend.
and red loctite everything, no joke!!

cr500 engine in a 250r frame is the worst way to go, you can easly get the same power or more out of a built big bore 250r motor and it fits right in, parts are easy to replace when they ware out or berak, and the counter ballenced trx motor will not shake your quad appart or your teeth out.
But if you are looking for a giant vibrator that will break your frame its the only way to go.
seen it done a few times it never works out right, unless you are bulding a 3 wheeler and then for some strange reason it seems to work OK, just vibrates alot.
