How much was it for you to get in the gate there? NOT including the race fee?

South Fork Dirt Riders has their race at the end of the month and their gate fee is freakin insane... which is an understatement if you ask me...

5:30 pm - 10:30 pm - $20 to practice



Thursday, August 27th
Gates Open @ 3pm

Gate fee: adults $40 / kids $35



Friday, August 28th
Gate Fee: adults $35 / kids $30
Sign in starts @ 10am
Practice 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm - $20 to practice



Saturday, August 29th
Gate fee: $30 / kids $25
Race Fee - $40 per class

Sign in 6:30 am - 8 am

Only thing I can think of is since they lost about 80% of the quads due to pure and simple ignorant management (Leroy Harris) this is his way of getting back some of the money he lost this year. Call it a payback to us. I'd like to beat his.... *yea* I did send him an e-mail asking about it (yes it was kindly worte.. to an extent) but if I don't hear anything soon, I'm gonna call em up... Who wants to help call them every day and complain about it with me to get them lowered to a NORMAL price???

I just got off the horn with them. Some lady there asked if they were right and YES was the answer. I asked how they expect anybody to show up with that kind of fees. She says she don't care if anybody shows up or not. CAN YOU BELIEVE THE BALLS THEY HAVE!!! I am so hot right now.... o dam....

Thru the year, it has been like $10 to get in, $30 per class (for MX) Not sure of A and 4 class's. They are just trying to make a killing to pay for the insurance they don't have or are getting I don't know... It's just a load of crap and I'd do anything to get enough people to complain and get it lowered... Thursady $40 for WHAT!!! Practice day on Friday, $35... FOR WHAT!!!! What can justify this bull crap???

As for the gate fees.......alot of folks were complaining about high gate fees and pointing to the fees as the direct cause of low spectator attendance.

I honestly don't remember what the gate fee was for this race.....I want to say $15-20.
