flyboy62
08-13-2009, 10:57 AM
you can in that town to get gas and eat. but thats nothing when we were riding Little Coal river we were on a trail that lead out to a road in the middle of the woods so we fallowed it for like 10 min and it came out to a road ( US 119) so i we start riding on that. that is a road you are not allowed to ride on. the speed limit is 70 there and a ford F-350 passed me so i just hammer on it and cought up to it and passed it. then it came out to the trail head so we turned into there

perfect example of how to get kicked out of a riding place. stones were put there for a purpose and they were meant to stay there.

my friend and his dad and brothers are going down there for a few days, i think they left for today. scro, look for a #62 i think crf450

We are staying in Gilbert, so I'm sure we will ride Rockhouse. Not sure what we will be riding on Sat. and Sun.

good to see they got gilbert straightened out. we go down at least once a year and stay in fox lodge in gilbert. We didnt get to this year due to they had a flood come in an almost wipe the whole town out :(

Scro

Yeah I saw pictures of it. It was horrible. I can't imagine how much rain it took to flood that place. The creek/river is a good 20-25 feet below the road in most places.

haha no race gas in man trust me i found out the hard way. There were only 2 gas stations left in man when i was there, the 7/11 down town and the BP or whatever it is up by Wendys. Usually what i done was filled up with my race gas in gilbert then just mixed what i had left with 93 in Man. then for the next day i filled up with race gas again before i left gilbert lol.

The point is you're making the ATV community at large look bad. The trail system spends money on gravel and the labor to create these parking lots and then you're out there tearing it up for no apparent reason. If nobody's watching is it OK for me to spray paint a highway overpass?

look we did nothing wrong all the gravel STAYED in the parking lot. there was no big holes in the ground no garbage left on the ground. we were having some fun not harming anything. we did not do any mischief, so chill. I didnt know that you ran race gas. lol

Hey flyboy, how were the trails? Did they have a lot of rocks that you had to dodge around when you were ripping down the trail? Also do you think a stock swingarm skid plate would be enough.. I want to go down, but after seeing in your one post that it's a 9 hr drive I think I will pass for a while.. When I finally get my utility quad I will be sure to hit that place up...

HMT - Riding w/ his father & brother in WV I don't hate nor did I say it was illegal. The HMT system spends a lot of time and money maintaining what they've got and my only point is that we, as ATV enthusiasts, shouldn't be ripping it up. There's hundreds of miles trails and hours were spent in a gravel parking lot powersliding and doing donuts? That just means they've got to pay a maintenance person to come drag the lot to so it doesn't get all washed out and rutted. I'd rather they use that money and effort on the trail.
