ticking sound 660 raptor?

there is a loud ticking sound coming from my buddies motor.he just had the valves adjusted.dose anybody else's 660 sound like this?i was just wondering i never been around any raptors before.

Timing chain could be worn out. Has it ever been replaced??

i just did some searching and thats what turned up..its my buddies quad,i'm sure it has'nt been off before

Tell him to get a new timing chain and timing chain tensioner. Its best to replace both together. I'm not too familiar with the 660's, but he might want to look into a heavy duty chain instead of the stock one.
