On Saturday August 15th, 2009 the Moose Racing Southern Ohio Cross Country Series will invade New Lexington for Round 8 of the 6 full season of great racing. The race will take place at Krash Racing Dirt Park. Krash is located in the strip mines of Perry Co.
The facility offers the riders a very different course compared to the other locations. The soil is perfect for some great traction and the trails are tight and technical. The best way to descibe the course, "like riding a roller-coaster" the top of every hill drops right off and every down hill turns at the bottom. The key is keep your head up and look ahead. You will leave this track a better rider!
Hare scrambles are conducted on marked courses over rugged natural terrain. Events are run for a designated number of laps or for a prescribed race time, typically two hours for adults and 45-60 minutes for kids. Competitive riders not only need to be fast, but also physically fit enough to maintain a race pace for hours at a time.
Since hare scrambles are conducted on closed courses, operator licenses aren't required and the machines do not need to be licensed for street use.
Gates open at 7am, sign up at 8am. First race at 8:45am
Concession and free primitive camping with paid admission.
