We just returned from our annual riding trip in Michigan. One of the guys brought a GoPro camera and I got to take it for awhile. Hop on my CR500 and take a ride on some of the best trails you'll ever see. This was taken at the Kalkaska trail system. Over 100 miles of trails on this system, which can be cut into smaller loops.

damn man. you really move that big ol 500 around them trails with ease. from what i been told, those things are a handful on open roads let alone tight trails like that.

good riding man! those are some pretty trails too. how is it riding the cr500 through the woods? like dehner said, they're a handful, and I only ever hear about people riding them in the dunes.

Even with the steel frame, this bike is still lighter than any of the 450's. Of course it probably doesn't handle quite as good, but I'll take the power, reliability, and ease of maintenence over a 450 any day. I still have three 250's, but when it comes time to choose a bike to trail ride, it's almost always the 500. The bike did take a little while to get used to after coming off the 250's, the vibration will really get you the first couple times you ride it, but as far as being a handful, I don't think so. You just have to respect it, because if you give it the opportunity it WILL hurt you.
