i just picked up a yz 125 it was fairly cheap for the year it is its a 2000. i payed 1000. but it has this weird sputter unless your in powerband. also i dont no were the idal screw is can someone help me out with this?

Change the spark plug, clean the air filter, put in some fesh 32:1 and it should rip.

this first, if that doesn't fix it i'm thinking its in need of a rebuild

it sounds like ure tring to describe that the bike is surging which indicates a lean condishion , i would drop the clip on the needle to raise it that will give u more fuel , and its not a bad idea to make sure there isnt any leaks and clean the carb while ure there

ok it runs alright when your in pwoer badn but it runs terable when your not in power band. the guy told me the needle is allthe way down so i will have to raise it and he isnt to smart because the throttle cable is all the way in the carb so it wont idal.

it has that. the guy put a new spark plug and i put new gas ixed 30:1 and the iar filters clean.

I would still change the plug. He could have lied and the bike symptoms sound like a fouled plug.

hmmm ill have to check it in a bit. i was riding it like a hour ago and it goes good ontop but if you try and go under half it sputters worse then ever.

ha. well i dont no im gona go mess with it right now. somthings weird because it seems easier to kick then my old cr85 i had when i was 10 ha.

I think it should be between 170-190? Someone may be to correct me but I think thats it.
