gusset kit??

hello everyone, im about to send my frame in for some fresh paint and didnt know what the gusset kits were for? my trx450r is a 2004 and didnt know if you get the stuff welded in before or after something breaks?!?!?

Its about 50/50.

Alot of riders run the quad until a crack needs fixin, then gusset

Others try and get ahead of the problem by gusseting first

In either event, you will need to gusset before you get some shiney new color on it!:p

im super new to this but what exactly is it? i understand its some sort of metal make a different bracket or something. and what is the big different between the lsr and bare?

Gussets in general help aide in a joint, to strengthen it. They can be made of a few different designs etc.

LSR is a complete kit that supports all areas that are found to weak on the 450R chassis, including the foot peg area and offers a better design to strengthen the upper main tube at the top engine mount

Bare is a basic design, cheaper but covers alot less areas.
