need help findig rod

I need help finding an aftermrket rod for 440 ex,the only one ive found is from lrd and its $300 is there a cheaper rod out there ive heard to many bad stories about stock rods and big bore kits -is this true or not-any recomendations for cams or rocker arms

I agree,,I've never had to buy a rod..I came with one:huh ,,but anywho,, I don't think your gonna find one for much less than $300 anywere.. Alky were you at???

I did a survey on here last week off 440 owners and not one person reported a rod failure, I read a thread a while back where some one had one break but they where running like 13:1 compression , but the the survey told me there are at least 18 440s on this forum that have run for a year or more with no rod failure.
