I like my t4 but it really depends on what you are looking for in an exhaust. there are so many options it is hard to choose for someone. if you need something sound sensitive then there is one if top power is where you are at there is another and so on. good luck choosing. steve

They all do the same, you wont even be able to tell a power difference if you switched. I'd put the money elsewhere into the bike.

They are FAR from being all the same! But you do have prolly one of the top 5 exhaust for the 400ex if not top 3. Alot of people believe in the sparks exhaust. I have never tried it. Also the Big Gun which I do have an loved it. I had the old race series and just recently upgraded to the evo r. Yosh is for susucki, fmf is junk so is alot of the dg. Many people have white bros and like them same with hmf. Couple people seem to have liked the motoworks and now I guess lexx makes a nice inexpensive exhaust. All in all an exhaust is a personal opinion and for the most part has more to do with how well you have the carb tuned in before anyone can honestly say one exhaust is better than the rest. But the top ones I would say is Sparks, HMF, LRD, Big Gun. For what it would cost for a new one and the minimal if at all diference you would notice its not worth getting rid of what you have!

Like what I said, you wont be able to tell a difference since you already have a good pipe. All the top name brands, I should say, are basically the same thing.

I completely disagree with not being able to tell the difference

you're telling me you can feel a 1 to 2 hp increase? (if that)

I think more then the 1-2 hp you can feel the difference in how the power is delivered.

I have a curtis sparks X-6 full racing exhaust. I love it. Its loud which I like and it gives plenty of power. Lets a lot of exhaust flow out quickly.

You should be able to feel it. A 1-2 hp increase is actually a pretty large percentage on a bike that is only like 26 hp out of the crate I believe.

Sparks exhaust here also and have nothing but good things to say. The only down side to the CS exhaust is the price tag.

If I could not afford the CS system, I would have went with HMF. I have heard a few soundclips and read numerous reviews. A full HMF system is the budget winner.

Both of those things being said...if you have a full LRD exhaust right now, I would not worry about changing to something different. LRD makes a good exhaust and it sounds among the best.

Don't listen to the "Yoshimura is for Suzuki, Pro Circut is for Kawi" etc. A pipe is a pipe, they just happen to be a sponser for those riders so they automatically get branded to them.

They are the same quality.

Curtis Sparks IS the best. I LOVE yoshimura too, they have such a sweet sound and great power delivery. I can't stand HMF. Everyone has one, and I think they sound bad. Plus the power isn't THAT great. It's an increase but there's more to be had.

FMF is kind of cheap, but has a great sound and good trail performance.

I love my DMC too. A little loud but great smooth power and awesome over-rev.

All are pretty good, including your LRD. Be happy with what you have, and spend that money on a high compression piston and cam. IMO

You probably know this but you know you have to run race gas with 12.5:1 compression right?
I would put my money towards that stuff.. expensive as hell.

I have heavy duty kibblewhite valves and valve springs on mine. I also port and polished the head also. Massive amount of power.

Yeah I use 110 octane in mine. It goes for 9.25 a gallon.

E85 is a good fuel too for this. Less then $3 a gallon right now and 105 octane.

Wow is that true? You can run e85 in the bike and it acts as 105? Won't harm the engine and you don't need to change the jets?
