2005 400ex engin prob

i was out last week hill climbing i broke my top piston ring i order new rings put them in put it all back togeather and it still acting like it did when it broke the old ring if any! could help me i would appreciate it ps it has a stage 2 hot cam 450r carb

you put the rings in right????

yah i put the oil ring in the right spot the only ones i could of messed up on is the first or the second cuz i didnt know if the shiny one or the daw one went on top so i put the shinny one on top

Did you gap the rings ?

yes i did iam retakeing it apart right now i looked at the piston it it looks to me theres a gap like the first ring isnt on the cyld walls

did you face the gaps the wrong way??????

i was looking a lil closer today found out the jug is egg shaped lol so i ordered a 440 kit 12.5 to 1 compression i have a stage two hot cam n a 450r carb should i leave the vales stock or change them out if so what should i go for
