i was riding up my field a couple of months ago, and my motor locked up on me. I just had a mechanic tear is apart because the bearings were sticking out the side cases by the front motor mounts on my 400. Came to find out the counter balancer went BOOOOM ruining my whole entire low end of the motor. I got a parts list a price $1772.59. Do you guys think i should pay that out and fix it or buy a used motor off of ebay or somewhere else on the internet.

Check service honda (http://www.servicehonda.com). You can get a complete NEW 400ex motor with all electronics for $1900 I believe.
