Well you dont want to make it a 24 voolt system because ithink you would fry the EFI electronics stuff, i am right?

We use a 24 volt starting system on my wifes TRX450r and it is well worth the extra work. Have you tried checking your TPS voltage and resetting your idle speed for quicker starts.

2 batteries are not automatically 24 volts!!!

2 batteries with the positve cables going to both positive battery terminals, and the negative cables going to both negative battery terminals is still a 12 volt system. You have only increased the amperage, not the voltage. A Ford Super Duty diesel truck is a good example of this. One battery doesn't have enough amps to kick the diesel motor over, so there are two batteries to increase amps. It is still a 12 volt system though.

For 24 volts, take one battery and run a cable from the positive terminal to the negative terminal of the other battery. then you run the cables going out to the corresponding terminals on each battery. A positve going out on one battery, and a negative on the other. This is now 24 volts. Lots of heavy equipment use 24 volt systems to crank the big diesel motors, especially the older equipment before the gear reduction starter became popular. An old Cat dozer or loader is a good example.

24 volts will fry a quad electical system, especially a Kawi with all the electronics. DO NOT put 24 volts to a quad, or any 12 volt system for that matter.

I don't usually put my $.02 in, but I'd hate to see someone fry their quad because of misinformation.
