Hi All,

My daughter's TRX90 needs the swingarm pivot bushings replaced in a bad way. It is so sloppy, but I cannot get the pivot bolt out. I'm pretty sure that the center collar is rusted onto it. My only thought is that I'll need to cut the pivot bolt to remove the swingarm. Any other ideas? Will a pivot bolt from some other model fit in place of the stock bolt? (for instance I have successfully used 400ex and 450r pivot bolts in my 250r-- they are about half price from Honda.)

I had one trx90 do the same thing to me. I ended up getting it out with an air hammer & a long punch bit for it. Couldnt budge it with a hammer but the air hammer took it out with no problem, thank you Snap-On! The 250R bolt is longer but same diameter...

Thanks for the reply. Is anyone using something different for bushings on a TRX90 with stock swingarm? I'd like to eliminate the center collar.

Just get a complete kit, drill & tap the swingarm tube for a grease fitting, then drill a small hole or two in the NEW spacer tube so grease can get between the bolt & collar. It will last a lot longer & wont seize to the bolt. I do this on all of our quads.

Thanks again for the tip. Grease fittings are a great idea.

On my 250R, I just run poly bushings that take the place of everything in there (bearings, seals, collars).

One of the members on this site (x.system) makes them. Maybe they'll work on the trx90 also...

antisieze is the ticket when you reassemble.
