Well for the last two months or so I have been picking up, ordering, and shipping parts for my rebuild. I have not had the bike together and running myself for about two and a half years. When I started I had a crap frame, no head pipe, carb, axle, lock nut, brake hub, battery, pegs and nerf bars. Piston was wasted and needed a new sleeve. Found a hot cam stage two in it which wasnt in there when I had it last. Needless to say I knew I had alot of work to do and alot of money needed. I have way more money in this thing than I should!:D and in my opinion I believe it will be worth it. I have gotten a new to me frame, new Burgard stem, Burgard nerfs, rear ITP wheels/Maxxis tires, Big Gun Evo exhaust, fresh JE 416 10.8:1, CRF Chain and new tensioner, valve seals and guides, every bearing and seal on the quad except internally, Burgard carrier, battery, silver Maiers, DG bumper, LSR axle, LSR anti fade, T2 handle bars, Oversize Oil Tank, 450R carb with ZR adapter. MSR clutch lever, Tusk wave type rotors all three, EBC brakes, C&D Rear dual rate shock conversion, and C&D Front PEP rebuilds and think thats it
Had Frame gussets put in. Frame then PC by pappy along with a-arms, swingarm, oil tank, bumper, motor mounts, and some other small pieces.

Day two was putting the motor mainly in and getting swingarm together and ready to be put in. Just waiting for my inner dust seals to get here to I can put it on.

Well day 3. Hoped to get more done but it was 94 Degrees out with a heat index of 103 so working in the garage wasnt nearly as fun as sitting in the ac! Got swingarm on though and nerf bars. Next will be front spindles and start on the brakes.

Pretty much all finished. Still have some adjustments. Toe-in, tie rods, I want to strap the nets from the nerf bars around the frame. I was going to rivet but didnt work out so well so not sure what im going to do now. Still have to dial in the carb just right. Almost there. I have about two tanks of gas through it following one of the break in procedures in the how-tos. Changed the oil once after the first tank and no shavings or any sign of a problem. Feels strong. Havent rode in awhile so I guess everything is faster the the lawn mower :p

Man you need to pull that thing out in the sun and take some pics. I'm sure it looks killer once the sun hits the frame.:D

Here are some in the sun photos. My camera sucks and so do my photography skills so it doesnt really do it any justice. It looks pretty darn good though in the light in person. Pappy is the man!

Thanks for the compliments. Still have some scoops im painting black right now then putting on and trying to fab brackets to help hold front fenders. The stock ones dont reach and the maier fender extensions are hiteous! The mounts on top of shock brackets there starting to turn white from stress.

Got some fullbore race cut front fenders for use on the track. Looks pretty good the two silvers are a little different but not by much. I think after some washes and when the maier rears sit in the sun a little while they will even to be almost unoticable. Got a pretty good deal on them on ebay. Also is a pic of the CV4 heat strip that I put on my oil tank to monitor my heat a lilttle.

What oil tank is that? And what type of capacity does it have?

looks good I like the silver one of my favorites and it seems to hide scratches well.

I got it off ebay. I cannot find the item right now to give you a link. It was some guy in Ohio that builds them. Once I got it I sent it to pappy for pc. It holds about 3/4 of a quart more oil. If memory serves me right it was like $100 or $115. Its seems pretty good quality and looks good too.

Yea I really like the silver. I have wanted to do a silver look since I have had the 400. Had a silver 300 back in the day and it held up really well.
