Maier maes all the plastic you could need, adn DG can supply you with parts for it. They still ahve a decent selection of performance parts for you.

My dad has a 86 250r 3 wheeler. He has never had trouble finding parts for it.

Go for it.

I own three Honda three wheelers myself and have never had trouble purchasing parts for them from Honda. One of my friends is in the process of restoring his '85 ATC 350x, and so far, he's been able to get all of the parts he needs as well.

You may want to check out this website: http://www.3wheelerworld.com

Check out the message board on this site. These guys will tell you all you need to know about restoring three wheelers and where to get parts. There is one guy on there who is doing a professional restoration on an '85 or '86 250r.

Also, check out http://www.3wheeler.org for more info.

If you go to http://www.partsfish.com you can check out online microfiches for 250r parts and get an idea of how much genuine Honda replacement parts will cost you.

Also, there is still a good aftermarket following for the ATC 250r and ATC 350x. Because the ATC 250r shares many components with the Fourtrax 250r, many parts interchange I believe.

Like the others said, Ebay is a great place to find three wheeler parts.

You'll have fun with a 250r, they're very fast and are a pretty wild ride.

Good luck...

BTW, which year of 250r are you looking at?
