Wanting to upgrade my front end so looking for some good used shocks and a arms. I found some LT Elkas for a good price (they will need serviced) seller says 19.25" long. Will that be the right size? The a arms that im looking to get are JB (used) or Houser (new)

It's different from company to company. Just give Houser and JB a call, and they can tell you the correct length and compressed length.

i think jb's run 19 & 7/8 or 20in

you are correct. I found out that today...will need 20" shocks with the JB

ive got some PEPs set up for JB a arms i might sell if your interested, they were serviced by SF racing and have 0 hours on them since, in good shape always rode with the covers on. They are ZPS 8 click black cans with the piggy back clamps.

take your OWN measurements dont' rely on a company to give it to you..houser said i need 18.75" shock with 5.6" of stroke turns out i ACTUALLY needed 19.0" shock with just under 6" of stroke and i still have 3/8'"-1/2" before my balljoints bind.....so get the arms you want.... then take your measurements and then have your shocks built ...it may take longer but 1/4" longer shock with almost 1/2" longer stroke is a world of difference...just my 2 cents
