Hey guys im looking at a pretty much brand new 08 yz250f on craigslist right now and its listed at 4200 but says price is negotiable. Anything i should look out for that year or maybe just yamaha in general? I've always been a honda guy but this seems like a deal i cant pass up.

No problems at all from 08 Yzf's. Get it. They are a solid all around bike with good suspension and very good reliability. Milder motor than the Crf250r but still got enough power behind it.

I found a 08 yz250f for 3500. THe guy will take 2900. Do you think I could resell it and make a profit?

that sounds like a good deal, i paid 2900 for my 06 yz250f a year ago. depends where you are and how much they're going for around you though

08 yz250f's have verrrry good suspension. I'd be very cautious around any used 250f. Some people will run them until they need a top end rebuild, then sell them to unsuspecting people.

Well as far as i can tell it looks in really good shape and according to him it only has 5 hours on it. Whether thats true or not i dont know. Im trying to set up a time to come look at the bike he only lives about 20 miles from me so i'll let you guys know what happens.

just make sure you hear it run and see if you can get him to let you take a quick putt around the yard on it to see if the power is coming on when it should the and the bike doesn't need a rebuild.
