Counter ballancer plate.

I need a counter ballancer plate for my R motor and I just got a notice from my Honda order that it has been dicontinued and is not available any more.

When I took my motor apart, it was not installed.

Question..... Do I really need to have one on it ? Can I get away with out a plate in it ?

Next questino..... Does anybody have one they could sell me ?

I am not to far from being able to ride my R for the first time and I really do not want something like this to hold me back on it.

WOW, these things are expensive, I would bet I have thrown 4 or 5 of these away over the years, I will keep looking for a Hinson.

esr sells counter balance holders for $45.

That is not the plate that I am talking about.

On the clutch side of the motor, when you slide the counter ballancer plate in place, there is a small cressant moon shape flat plate that holds the ballancer in. From Honda it is only like $6 but they do not make it anymore.

The Honda part number is 13353-HA2-000

Mine was not in place because when I took my motor apart, I when to turn the bottom end around and tilted it up a little on that side. The ballancer fell out and missed my foot by only a few inches.

Or if anyone else has one they could sell me, that would be great.
