Has anyone had any experience with Biggun exhausts, on the ds or any other bike? I've seen a couple in person and they look and sound really good, but I'm not sure on the power gains that it gives and the fitment .Anything is better than the stocker I suppose.

I had one on my YFZ and I loved it. And it was one of the older ones, I'd love to try one on a DS though. I think they're an awesome deal for the money.

Well, I bit the bullet and decided to go for it. I won the big gun slip on from ebay for $200. So far I have to say that the thing looks beautiful, I love the oval can. It bolted right up with no drilling or anything, but there was some confusion as to how the hell it mounts. Turns out you have to spin the can and stretch the spring. This silencer is noticeably lighter than the stocker, which is a hell of a lot heavier than it looks. I noticed immediately after starting it up that this thing is pretty damn loud, not as loud as my friends HMF , but probably around 99-100db. I definitely need to order the quiet core insert.

I'll get some pics and maybe a video for a sound check tomorrow before I take it for a spin.

Yea I hear ya, for some reason Big Gun's are a total ***** to put on but they're worth it in my opinion. Do yourself a favor though and don't get the Big Gun vortex insert I believe it's called. It's a flat base with three little tubes that allow exhaust gases out. This came with my exhaust and it is a complete pain in the *** to use. As soon as you put it in it restricts the exhaust back to almost stock. I use a simple screen type arrestor from a dirt bike. It's a metal ring with a piece of screen shaped like a bowl on it. This quiets it down quite a bit without restricting it too much. I believe I got mine from my friends KX-250F stock exhaust and it fits like a glove. I race MX though so I never need it haha.

yea I just wanted an insert I could throw in during the week to ride trails and on the weekend take it out for the track. It actually quieted down a good bit after I road it for a while.

I have to say that it seems like a totally different quad now. It pulls from the bottom to the top now.
