Two of my buddies have been having problems with the heel guards breaking where they mount to the subframe..... They both have been welded numerous times and finally replaced with new heel guards.... One is an A class rider and the other is a vet rider.....

I know some peeps don't like them, but I've had my AC Pro pegs for about 3 years now with no probs. Mostly do fast woods rides, and some flat track racing. They even survived a crash into a cement wall while the quad slid on the side about 75 yards or so... Yes, I was still on it! :p

We have given up on nerfs with any kind of heel gaurd built in. We will be running two piece nerfs from now on. The poor stock ones lasted 1 good practice

I decided to try out the Rockymountainatv brand (Tusk) on my LTR. I like Pro Armour which is what I run on my Honda but I decided to give these a try because I had a coupon and they looked pretty good too. At only 200 bucks they were worth giving a try. Well....they look awsome and I like them everybit as much as the pro armours. So far.....they have held up really well.

Keep an eye on the fender brackets. I saw a set someone had, and both sides were broken.

You should look into the Blingstar Factory nerf/ heel gaurds, they look good, my buddy has them on his LTR and they look badass and have held up great. AC pro peg mx nerfs are pretty good too.

Mounted them up yesterday (The ROCK bars/heel/pegs) but forgot my camera! THey look great! The install was easy, even w/ no directions, not hard to figure out. The pegs can be adjusted wider or narrower and everything seems solid. THey actually look exactly like the Tusk ones... I'll post some pics next week...

i first got the albe pro elite comp nerfs.

http://www.albaaction.com/productdetail.htm?productId=9069159&ez=ALBA%20Action%20Sports~q=bidaa2755zz~r=~

absolute garbage. the tabs on the heel guards that bolt to the frame broke (both sides). the heel guards would scrape on transitions from downward slopes to flat ground and bombing through whoop sections. one heel guard eventually broke off somewhere on the track.

and i don't even race. i only hit up the tracks once or twice a month on open practice days. so its not like i beat the crap out of my stuff.

went to rath and so far i like them. they seem to sit higher so the heel guards haven't scraped yet.

I'm running the UM Pro Pegs as of right now. I got them and planned for them to be temporary until I get me a set of REM heelguards, and nerfs for some good aftermarket pegs (I'm generally not a big fan of nerfs with built in heelguards). So far they seem to have held up OK. I've managed to rip the floor of the heelguard off once, other than that and a few small dents and dings everything appears as it did new. Installation was easy, and the peg location seems better than most that I have felt, plus they come with a very nice set of fender brackets. I've used them from everything to lift the quad, to sliding on trees during races and they have held up... for the money I have in them I can't complain.

Glad to hear yours are holding up Zblaster... We had them on our Honda and besides the AC nerfs, UM was the biggest POS nerfs . lol
I guess its all luck of the draw for the most part. I thnik the heel guards on all of them could use some modifications.
Actually Pro Armors have been our best nerf so far...

Those alba elites are identical to the Rock or Tusk....they must all be made by the same manufacturer...........well so far the tusk have worked well with no issues but we will see what time will tell........
