06 PEP rear shock on an 05????

I'm wondering if an 06 PEP rear shock will work on a 05 with a lowering link, does anyone know for sure???

As long as you use an 06 link and swingarm, it will work fine. The 06 shock will bolt up to the 05 components, but it won't have the correct leverage ratios.
