I am running a local XC race Sunday with a long creek section with mostly 2-3ft deep areas. The question I have is how should I have my airbox setup.(I have a k&n filter, pro design air filter with prodesign pre filter) I have been running the lid off, but can put it back on. I need advise. Do I run the plug in the bottom or take it out?

Anytime I know I'm going to be running at higher speeds in water I put the lid on and the plug back in. I also have a lot of friends that don't and havnt seen many issues. If your going pluggless/ lidless I'd oil the filter real good so it has ample amount of protection. I'm picky about my machine, too much money tied up to suck water in the engine. Just an opinion. Good luck and race hard!
