Revs in Neutral Cuts out in gear

I need a little help Im working on a 04 Z 400 for a buddy of mine and I put a Motor on it and Now it Runs fine in neutral and it Cuts out in Gear.Please Help Thanks

Well I had something kind of like this happen you could say and what you need to do is look behind your shifter theres like a white block its your neutral safety switch if the wires coming out of it are cut or melted that would be a problem and if they are not unbolt the white safety switch and take it out and get some sand paper and just scratch up the little metal plates on the back their gold

this happened to me its the dumbest thing ever. check to see if theres a zip tie around ur choke lever making it not go all the way in. idk y but mine had a zip tie on the choke stopping it from going all the way in causing it to die in gear but run in neutral.
