Need some help

I just got a brand new left over 2007 ltr.It will idle but as soon as you hit the throttle it falls on it's face like it is running out of gas.It revs in neutral but when you try to ride it,anything past idle it just goes flat.
Now,obviously it is under warranty but if it is something simple I would rather just fix it myself.
Any suggestions????

Jason, we bumped the idle and also opened the fuel up all the way (where the petcock would be, remove the cover cap and make sure the screw is all the way out)

btw...should have the Rappy frame here tomorrow

Yeah,I checked the fuel valve first.I mean this thing just won't get out of it's own way.It will fire up and idle but as soon as you let out on the clutch and start giving it throttle it dies.
I am going to go check it out a little more.

I really would like to figure this out without having to take it back to the dealer.It is running lean for sure.If you ease into the throttle while riding,it will accelerate good until about 1/2 throttle then it just dies and backfires....if you let off the throttle it picks back up.
It acts like the '04-'05 Honda 450r's when you try to run them with the air box lid off and don't re-jet lol.
This is a left over '07.....is there anything that I should check that may have happened from this thing sitting at the dealership that long?

Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.

i know you dont want to take it back to the dealer ship and i wouldnt want to either but if you didnt even get to ride it once and this is happening i would take it back and not mess with it.
it sound like what mine did before and that was the fuel filter but you said it was brand new so that cant be the problem. and if its new nothing should be wrong with it.

sounds like you got some **** in the carb i'm like you but just take it back so that you don't get even more aggravated when you can not find it. remember warranty warranty use it or lose it

I know,I know.This is bull chit though.I am going to call in the morning and see if they will just let me swap it for another one.

That would be my suggestion....

If they sat that long, there could be some issues and you might have just grabbed one with issues:p make sure no WV rat didnt build a condo in the airbox

Quad is fixed.An o-ring came off in the fuel valve and was blocking the fuel flow.
