Howdy all! So my family is just getting into this quad thing and I purchased a new 2008 Outlaw 525s that I'm loving!!! Also grabbed a used 2001 Yamaha Badger 80 for my girls. What would be the first mods you'd do to your Outlaw? I've looked at a slip on but I'm not sure about re-jetting (is it a hassle?). I did have to adjust my throttle cable after the first day of riding - darn thing kept dying on me unless I'd hold the thumb on a bit. I've noticed Rath has some cool Polaris stuff - any thoughts on their gear? Thanks for anything you might share - loving my time at the dunes so far!!! I do need to find some trails in the area.

you should get the jd jet kit they make the best one for the outlaws, these come very lean from the factory rejetting it will make it run like a new quad. About rath racing stuff it is all good. I have the nerfs with monster pegs and heel guards. They are the best nerfs i have owned, very strong and fit very well. If you want a slip on you can go with a hmf or if you want to spend the money on a full system go with the ct racing.

What kind of time is involved in re-jetting? I'm guessing that kit you mentioned comes with directions. Thanks for the reply.

it will take about 20- 30 minutes and it does come with instructions. you dont even have to take the carb off.

I second the JD Jetting Kit. It is really helpful and makes it run great!!
