I live in Denver CO 5,280 feet above sea level
We ride @ 5,000 to 9,000 feet above seal level
I know to jet down (leaner) for altitude & I know I won’t be able to have the perfect jetting for the different places I ride but I would like something close
99 EX 400
I removed the stock baffles and spark arrester from the stock pipe
K&N filter with outerwears and no Air box Lid
I bought the bike used and I don’t think it has any other engine mods
I pulled my main & pilot jet out last night to see what was in it
I had:
140 main
38 pilot
The 400 runs good, but had a slight bog @ 1/8 throttle and based on the spark plug looked a little rich
I plan to use a 42 pilot and a 142 main
Dose this seem right?
