ball joints

does any one know of a special tool to seperate balljoints from the spindle. i use a hammer but it starts to mess up the spindal after a while. any info would be great. oh i have used a pickle fork but theres a big chance of ripping the boot.

Don't use the fork. You can use a socket or a wide piece of metal to stick between the nuts. When you are backing the nuts off, it will push against the other balljoint, pushing it out of the spindle. It's kind of hard to explain in words.

stick the spindle in the freezer for like an hour tops. should tap out with a hammer
