ok i have an 06' 650X with a UNI filter, exhaust tip mod, and big gun CDI box. I took off the airbox lid a while back to see how it felt, well, everythings great till the top-end...then it falls on its face.

anyway basically I'm trying to get a little more power out with a jet kit...but rather than buying the kit I was just going to replace the main jet...why spend 70$ when I can buy a pilot jet for a mikuni for 4$. my problem is that I don't know what size main jet to use.

I was wondering if any of you have jet kits, or have done what I want to do, and could give me info about it. thanks a lot guys!!!

also the stock size main jet would be appreciated too, I looked in the owners manual and can't find anything. babbitts said the pilot jet was a 120 and JETSRUS.com's smallest upgrade kit is a 167.5... i didnt know if babbitts was right about oem with such a huge difference

The stock main jet on a DS650 is a 165. If I remember right I jetted up to 180 on the main when I rode at Glamis. So I would try that and see how it goes. If it's a little too rich go to 175.

My DS is jetted for Glamis. Since moving here is is rich. Need to lean it down so it will idle

You should be good at 160-165 then.
