Trx450r Starter Problems

Hey guys, i was riding my 06 TRX450ER today, and i shut it off. Then after i went to turn it back on after I went inside for a drink, it wouldn't start. I can hear the whirring noise from the starter motor, but it wont turn over. I have to push start it down my hill to turn it on :eek: !! Any recommendations? Ideas :confused:? Any help is greatly appreciated!! Thanks,

did you buy this new, or was it used? did you or the previous owner(if there was one) have the stater recall done? it sounds like the one way gear went...there was a recall on 06 and 07 450r's for this...it expired last september...it replaced about $300 worth of parts

I bought it used, and i dont know about the starter recall thing.

my guess is that it wasn't done to it, and most likely won't be done for free now...

Yeah, i'm most likely going to take it to the local honda shop and have it fixed by them. I just wanted to see if I would be able to fix it myself.:blah:
