GPS for trails?

looking for a decent gps so i can log the routes ive been and know where i am etc. want to hook it to my computer to get detailed info perhaps a map with the routes that ive taken with distance and times etc...anyone have one of these or recommend a certain one? thanks!

Garmin makes some very nice hand held gps 's . i use one for hunting and also made a couple nice trail maps for snowmobiling . just make sure you get a color one that has a memory card ( sd card ) . They are super handy for the trail !

I have the Delorme. I love it. being able to get the full color aerial photo overlay is hreat when youre hiking or just for finding stuff. They have the ability to download all kinds of great maps. Sure beats just using the standard plain topos
