noises

well i was out riding my 450 when i heard this weird noise that sounded like i was dragging a metal pan so i stop and look around and cant see any thing and i hear its coming from my lower end of my engine so i shut it off then got towed back to the trailer then took it down to the local shop and left it there and the guy said it wasnt doing it any more just for like a split second then it stopped! any suggestion on what this could be?:confused:

mine sounded funny like that but it turned out to be loose chain rollers,and a bad chain roller bearing

but would it do it when it was just sitten there idiling? it seems to be coming from the engine!:confused:

I had the same thing happen to me. Mine ended up being the crankshaft bearings, but it could be the rod too. Idk I would split the bottom end and take a look at it. Also my reed valve has gone missing... idk if thats the cause of my bearings going out or what but not too long ago my reed valve broke and idk whats causing it.
