i lost the key to my 04 ltz400..hotwire it??need help

i lost the key and i want to know how to hotwire it with out blowing a fuse .plz lmk asap. and dont be a smart AS$ and say buy a new key cuz i have one on order butt wont be here till next month sum time

Well where you key goes is the ignition under that will be 3 wires, If you connect 2 of them you will have just a normal operating situation if you connect all 3 it will give you lights as well, so strip the wires and touch them until you know which does which. Or better yet just connect all 3 it makes it much easier and you can live with lights cant you? anyway just remember to disconnect them after your done riding and make sure that they do not touch or you get a dead battery

had the same thing happen, and I did what knoxville said. I found a keyswitch eventually off ebay for $15
