where is this sensor at..and how much does it cost... and is a dealer part only?

Mounted on the front clutch cover, under a steel retaining cover. Last one I bought ran close to upper $40s or $50. Im pretty sure its a dealer only item.

very common problem on es machines senses shift position and allows es system to shift easy install but i think you have to reprogram the computer

Most of your ES Ranchers (at least prior to 07) dont have a computer to program. What exactly are you working on?

im working on a 05 ribicon...i know how to clear the codes on it..just not sure if that is what you mean by reprograming..

You should be able to get the sensor and no you dont have to do any computer thing with it once you replace it, i have done it on my 06 and it makes a big difference.
