you have to go and get a chemical that any autobody paint shop will have and mix that in your paint,

The best way to recolor a fender is to get decals the cover it completely . Paint will be like armorall. It will be temporary .

its called flex its and additive to the paint making process it helps but unless you ride dunes the trees and mud will scratch it all up, almost better off buying new plastics if you got the $$$. paint isn't made to flex like the plastics do just make sure if you red scuff pad the plastics if it has the shiny look to them otherwise the paint will slide off as soon you put it on.

adhesive promoter or adhesion promoter

my buddy paints his plastics once a year and they turn out nicely he adds some of the flex additive same as wat u want to paint bumpers on cars that are quiet flexible. he said he sprays the promoter on b4 he shoots the paint they actually hold up pretty good but once u go crashin out and hittin tress of course its gonna crack out and flake off

you have to score your plastics, the paint wont stick to the glossy surface. use a fine sandpaper grit and prep your plastics using circular motions. as you are painting you will fill the scratches and when you have applied enough coats you will get back that smooth appearance. dont forget to invest in a higher end primer, use lots of coats and when you're done painting use a clear coat. 10 minute intervals between coats works well, or whenever the paint is still tacky, not completely dry. the lighter the coat the better ive spray painted plastics that held up to gasoline, pressure washing, etc you just have to be patient.

i ran into a guy when i was getting a new front tire on my 06 GSXR600 a few weeks ago .. got talking about painting atv plastics.. the local automotive paint supply store sells a product called , bulldog .... its a liquid u spray on and it from what he says that it makes the plastic soft so when u spray your color it sticks.. he showed me the rear plastic off of his raptor .. Chit does work !!!
