I just installed my 400ex arms, spindles and tie rods yesterday. Now the camber is messed up so i guess i need to get 250r uppers with the adjustable ball joints. Those upper arms will work with the 400 spindles, right?

Yes they will. You may need a few extra spacers to get the angle you want. My buddy got some car wheel "unilug" type spacers that are perfect, and were cheap. Take one of the 250r spacers with you for them to match up. Mine came from NAPA.
I have 400ex lowers, 400ex spindles and rotors, the stock 300ex calipers, and 250r uppers. My uppers are the older style with the large journals and they do fit the 300ex mounting tabs.
I have a set I will sell if you want. Let me make sure the rubbers and the ball joints are still good. they are inside but have sat in my shed since last fall. I also have a set of 400ex front shocks that I know nothing about other than they look to be OK.
If you are interested post here or drop an email. I am going to go to a friends house tonight to drink beer, I mean put new chain and sprockets on my enduro. I can check the stuff and post pictures if you want, but not till tomorrow. (Saturday)
this has nothing to do with wheelers but my baby girl got married!

m0t0xk1d all you need is the adjustable ends the burgards will work fine

dirtdawg, I will go out later this morning, get the stuff together, and get picture or 2 on here. Just as soon as I recover from the garage session last night. Never got the chain and sprockets changed, and for some reason I don't feel so well this morning.
I will need your zip code to estimate shipping. I can do that later today
Do you want the 400ex shocks?

don't need the shocks bu thanks though. i have everything ELSE that i need like always. there's always that one other thing i need and don't have that keeps me from riding.

just put the 300ex spindles back on and your camber problems fixed..

but then the geometry of the tierods is not correct. i heard this from many people. it also puts a lot of pressure on the ball joints in the wrong spots and can wear them out quicker.

I have been running 400 upper and lowers with 400 tie rods and 300 spindles for years now and I have not had any problems.

i got the bottom ball joint tightened but i cant tighten the top one. it's spinning and full of grease so it won't let me grab it with vice grips. i was able to hold the bottom one because i could grab thread. which one did you tighten first if you remember? it doesn't seem to fit right right now, but once it gets tight it should be fine. i'm thinking i should do the top one first. the camber is right on though.

Get a big c clamp i think an 8 inch works and clamp on both baljoints, then put the nut on. thats how i have always done it!

I do not think the ball joint in that upper should be spinning  . I can put mine on either way, top or bottom first. I know you have to hold the joint on the tie rod but not the arm joint.

this thing handles like a totally different machine. definitely worth doing. i would never ride another 300 without the 400ex front end and 300 spindles. a 400ex probably isn't that much better than this.
