Alright, I'm going with some friends to a place out here in NE called Genoa. They say it's all sand there, not like dunes though. And they say alot of the sand is packed hard, I really have no idea, I've never been there before, or ridden in the sand at all. Now my question.... I currently have Kenda Klaw xc on the rear of my quad, I also have a set of Trakker paddles that I got years ago with a quad I bought. I hear bad things about the trakker tires. Do you think the klaws would work ok in the sand if I flip them for soft ground? Or use the paddles? I have an esr 310 on my bike with trx9 porting, running 14/38 gearing.

if the sand is hard then use your xc tires

I agree. Don't risk your paddles just to beat your buddies up one hill. If it is just a crappy "sandbox" with no dunes, I wouldn't even bother with the paddles. Quads go fine in the sand with dirt tires too, just not as fast.
