400ex rebuild

if i buy a 440 kit will i have to bore out the cylinder to put the sleeve in it or will i be able to slide that in and it will work just fine and if i could get some pointers about some thing thanx

The outer diameter of the 440 sleeve is larger, so the stock sleeve has to be removed, the cylinder bored, and the new sleeve installed.
