Maier Fender Question

I was looking at the Maier fenders and it stats that you cannot use your oem sides and tank cover. What is so different about them that they cannot be used? How do they bolt up compared to oem?

the stock tank cover works...the sides do need a little bit of modification to get to work...i am not sure if they still offer them, but try to get the ones that are one piece with the sides on them

I have a stock tank cover on mine it works perfect. There are no side covers though, you can see in the pic that its just 3 pieces, the front the rear and the tank cover.

x2 with the 1 peice sides.. I used a stock tank cover as well i didnt know you "couldnt"
i do have a problem with the holes lining up for the pushpins but other than the fit is good..

those were the ones i was refering too...maier released them about 2 months after i bought my first set...oh well...when i upgraded to the 05 style, it was not an issue
