Ok I bought a new silinoid, new clutch switch, starter button/light switch and my 300ex still won't start using the start button, but if its running and u pull the clutch in the starter will spin I can hear it. I was thinking that maybe I put those 2 little wires on that clutch switch backwards. Could this be possible??

did you check the brushes in the starter? pull the clutch hold the start button and hit the starter with a hammer see if it works then.

The starter works, but it only works if its running and u pull the clutch in. which is pointless cuz the engine is already running. I start it by crossing the silinoid. If the clutch switch wires are backwards would it do that????????????

I don't think so either way it would wend a signal. try splicing them together and see if it work.

don't even wiggle it, unhook'em and clean them real well with sandpaper or something. the ground on my was painted over and wasn't connecting correctly at all

Naw its not the ground. The starter works, just not by the button. unless its running and you pull the clutch in it will. Pointless though.

if it works when the motor is running than you probably don't have enough power to turn the motor over when its turned off. you probably need a larger relay or something.
