just thought this was a cool picture i took today. I set the camera on auto timer and came up with this haha. I dont really have a place to ride the 400 anymore so I'm getting more into bikes and I think it's just as much fun as quads. I'm learning more with my bike everyday and someday hope to do some bigger jumps like I've seen posted on here before.

well here it is

yeah dude thats awesome we are building trails here too lol.
I still like my quad more but I bike everyday, I like street more but once our trails are done I might get more into that.
What kind of bike do you ride?

yeah half the fun is building the jumps, i have a redline and so far it's been holding up great for me. except i can't seem to make handlebars last. i just got some new stolens that were a little more expensive than my last couple bars so hopefully they hold up better

wtf? haha Ive never seen bars brake like that haha
I just bought a bunch of new parts and painted my bike. I got the Shadow Vultus bars.

cool bike, ill post a pic of mine tomorrow. mine's nothing special but it works for me haha. I would like to get rid of the gyro that came on mine and replace it with a single cable like yours, where did you get that splitter thing under your seat? I was looking at dans comp for one but I couldnt find anything like that, maybe I just didnt look hard enough lol

take the hanger from your gyro(it should be behind your seat tube then cut off one of the clamps and now it should work like a regular hanger lol. I actually broke my brake lever the other day and decided to take them off. I never really used them anyways cuz I do all my fufanus and abubacas without brakes.

I can post a pic of my "modded" gyro hanger if you want. Linear cables are way better than gyros, it makes your bike feel more solid.

I miss making jumps for my bike. Few wheelbarrel loads of dirt and a shovel. Or maybe just a board and cinder blocks. I ate chit on my diamondback almost every time I rode it tho.. hahaha

07-24-2009, 01:56 AM
Gyro's = epic fail. They're more of a PITA than anything. Get an odyssey cable and you can twist your bars without your brakes locking up. I ride S&M.

no my bike was a piece, 20$ walmart special, and it got thrown off a cliff, so i took the mangled bars off and put some mangled fatbars on from when i flipped my 300ex, the clamps barley even fit lol

07-24-2009, 11:30 AM
my bike is a 60$ walmart special.....but its not a piece suprisingly!,its an xgames bike a 20" and real heavy duty pegs....and the coolest part is that the whole bike is chrome!and its got an aluminum frame so its super light, and i can turn my handle bars a 100 times and the brake lines dont twist up at all,but that bad part is that the handle bars are already rusting:( only had it for a year!but i had a nasty wipe out and kinda bent frame some, idk how it possibly bent the from though but it did:confused: :huh

Anything from walmart is a peice Smit.

My old Haro Backtrail was borderline peice. FIT makes some great bikes, but I got out of BMX about a year ago. I got tired of having gashes on my knees, and saving 100 bucks a month on tubes and chains bought more gas for the quad.:ermm:

Not trying to rain on your parade, but if you ever rode an aftermarket frame, you wouldn't be saying that Mongoose is great. I thought the same thing about my Mongoose KO until I rode the Haro I later built up.

When I rode a friends FIT, I seen that there was even more of an increase in quality.

Its like saying a 250ex handles better than a 450r.:ermm:

Idk how to show you guys.. I just learned them not to long ago but right now I can only do tem on banks. My friend is learning them on the quarter pipe and hes brakeless so I know it can be done. You just use pedal pressure to keep the front up its not that hard.
My bike has a diamond back frame and forks but thats all I can afford right now, I bought it as a stock mr. lucky and built it up from that. When I can afford it I would like to replace them though.

BlasterEaten250
08-23-2009, 04:17 PM
I really slacked making that one, you can see the sides falling haha. Use fillers (logs), and pack it GOOD as you go. Make sure the sides are built up good also. If you aren't comfortable with jumps with a landing, build up the back of the landing so its sloped. That way if you case it you don't automatically die like the one in the picture above haha.

Jesus christ..

You take a shovel and pile dirt up. Form it into a launch ramp and a downslope and hit it.

Thats how you make a jump.

Will you stop asking now?
