I have just verified,(unfortunately), what I had previously suspected, and was afraid of....
We all know that when you are doing the 450r carb upgrade on your 400ex, You MUST use a throttle cable for a 450r.
OK, I'm fine with that, no problem,...
BUT !, a OEM 450r cable WILL NOT work with a Motion Pro twist throttle.
If you are using a Motion Pro Twist throttle, you must also use the Motion Pro Throttle Cable, for a 450r.
just thought you Twisty guys might like to know.
there is no need to turn this into a twist vs. thumb argument/debate. that's not why I posted this.
Some like twist, some like thumb, and you should use what you like and are comfortable with.
I am only posting this in hopes of saving someone who uses a twisty, the frustration of a second trip to the parts shop, when doing this mod. (I'll be going back to the shop to do the exchange tommorow).
Sponge Bob is not happy tonight :(
