Electrical Problems...

Hey guys

When I was out riding my quad just shut off on me. I tried starting it but I got this ticking noise. I tried jumping it off of my truck but I still got the same noise. Could it be my starter??

you sure you jumped it right? if you did, seems like its the relay, it clicks on and off to feed the direct battery power to the starter

ya its prolly the relay, my old warrior did the same thing and it turned out to be the relay if not that then check the stator

Ok I got it started. I just towed behind my buddies diesel truck and had it in 5th gear. But it will stay running for a little bit then it just cuts out with no warning. Sometimes it will start back up and other times it feels like the starter isnt spinning fast enough.

now it could be a possible bad ground im guessing, or a dead battery

ok yea ill try to mess with the ground a little bit. ill go through all the wires.

i had the same thing and my battery just gave out while riding and do u ride in snow or cold weather

i also had this same problem but i found a broken wire conector... female end broke the lock clip so i was loosing conection.. just check over all your conections to make sure they are all good and tight and not broken
