Took the mut out for a spin and let him run around the park and jump in the lake today .. so afterwards I loaded him ( literally .. he can't jump into the back of my truck) up and decided to snap a few new pictures of him. Anyways .. here he is again ... it wasn't until these pictures that I noticed how grey he's getting around the chin and he's not even 4 yet.

Thanks .

He comes from a long line of competitions and show winning dogs. The GrandFather was a North American Field champ ... Father is a Canadian Field champ .... mother is a working dog ... grandmother is a trials champion.

Mine ... well he's the World Champion couch potatoe champion.. plastic bottle chewing champ and has the fastest time scarfing down a 1 hour chew bisket, 30 seconds FLAT. :p

Thanks .... yours is nice too.

I want to ask , where did you buy his leather collar and does it retain a smell from around his neck>

Because of their oils , my dog's collar STINKS and I'm hoping a leather will work better.

Nice lookin dog ya got there, Greg. You saying how you have to lift him in the back of the truck reminded me I had to do that with my last Husky. She would jump down from stuff, but never up! If you don't mind, I will clutter your Lab thread with just a couple pics of my new Husky. Mystic, she is 1 year old now.

Got his collar at PETCO for 20 some dollars in Feb. So far no odors, but every once in awhile my wife will wipe it off.

I have always liked chocolate labs. When I was deciding on what dog to get, it was between 3: a choco lab, a rottweiler, and an Australian Shepherd. That was 2 months ago:

He's the calmest puppy I've ever seen.

Not mine . In fact when he was a pup , I brought him into the vet to get checked out because I thought something was wrong with him since he was never hyper and loved to sleep. The vet said he was in tip top shape and I just got lucky and got a mellow one out of the bunch.

Most people want mellow dogs , but I wish mine had a bit more energy  .... he doesn't like to play fetch and would rather just sniff around than swim. :huh

Yeah,I wish mine was a little more mellow sometimes. He acts like an overgrown Jack Russel most of the time :p

About the only time mine gets wound up , is when my parents' dog is around and they play fight . Usually ends up with both dogs rolling around in the sand , they run around the house a few times ,growl at eachother and fight until one yelps ... then it's over with and they both sleep for an hour. LOL . It's a dog's life.

Bart ... glad to see you got yourself another Husky . They're beautiful dogs for sure . My mom's aunt used to raise them and sled dog race with them in the 50's ... she even appeared on the Ed Sullivan show back in the day with her team of dogs ... she was North American Champion
