he is saying you need to grind power coat off between frame/ subframe and where coil and ground wires touch.

all grounds are good or it wouldnt be turning over. Sounds to me like the the valves need adjusted or the decompressor is out of adjustment. What cam is he running and when were the valves last adjusted

Everyone always thinks its the valves. If it will roll start then you need to trace the wiring from the battery to the starter and everything that goes with the starting system. Could be the valves but check the most common first the wiring.

"ok my buddy has a 2006 450er and it wont start. it will turn over plenty fast".....it will turn over with the starter so that wiring is fine............."u can roll it 10 feet and it will fire right up". you can roll start it so its gettin fire, meaning that wiring is fine?? what other wiring could it be??????

Yes check the valves and decompressor for sure. If its losing any compression then the starter will never turn the motor fast enough to start but rolling it will. Ive been there plenty. If it will start by rolling it and the starter will turn it over then that eliminates all chances of wiring cause you are getting fire and fuel if it will run.

I've always used

.004-.006 intake
.008-.010 exhaust
decompressor, .007 + right side exhaust

Does the starter spin, but not engage? the same thing happened to me and it was the starter clutch

intakes are probably tight and check decomp

use compression tester and set at 65 psi
